Cinematic Queer

Cinematic Queer represents the peak of Victor Hensel-Coe's hyper-stylized editorial vision, manifesting his artistic philosophy where "Caravaggio meets Halloween." This collection contains highly saturated, theatrical, and surreal narratives that challenge heteronormative societal expectations with camp, dark comedy, and uncompromising glamour.

From his acclaimed Queen of my Castle series (published in Kaltblut Magazine) to conceptual, baroque-punk tableaus, these images read like stills from a high-budget, avant-garde film. Working closely with stylist Jakob Schaefer and prominent figures from the Berlin queer community, Hensel-Coe uses rich color palettes, elaborate costuming, and highly directed lighting to create worlds that are both fantastical and psychologically complex.
